6 Activities To Do On Okaloosa Island Florida
Are you looking to have lots of fun and need a place to go? Well, I am going to tell you what all you can do on Okaloosa Island Fort Walton Beach, Florida. And, I have six places that you need to make sure you check out, so stick around.
So, what's there to do in Okaloosa Island? Well, it is no secret that were on the Gulf Coast surrounded by beautiful beaches.
1. GO TO THE BEACH!
There are seven public beach accesses on the island. They have pavilions, picnic tables, and showers and restrooms. You can also check out John Beasley Park. This park has 2 large Pavilions, 12 picnic tables, restrooms, changing rooms and 208 parking spaces. So, just don't forget to bring your beach gear and your sunscreen.
2. THE BOARDWALK
So, if you need more than just the sun, white sands and water to stay occupied and entertained, the boardwalk is definitely a fantastic place to go because you can eat shop and play here. You can check out Rockin' Tacos, The Crab Trap, Floyd's Shrimp House and Al's Burger Bar. Or, if you need to cure your sweet tooth, check out the Pino Gelato or Oasis where they have desserts and coffee. And there's a few retail stores to for you to shop for additional beach gear or some cute little souvenirs. If you have the kiddos with you, you can let them play out on the playground that's also on the beach. Or, if you need some competitive fun, ther's also volleyball nets out there as well.
3. GULFARIUM MARINE ADVENTURE PARK
This is definitely a place for you to go if you love sea animals. You can enjoy animal encounters and be prepared to be entertained by those silly little dolphins, and sea lions. There's also seals and stingrays, turltles, there's reptiles and much, much more. Just make sure you add a visit to the gulfarium to your schedule.
4. OKALOOSA ISLAND FISHING PIER
There's the Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier, where you can walk 1,262 feet into the Gulf. Just don't forget your cameras or your phone. That way, you can make sure you catch the amazing sunset and you might even be able to catch the Dolphins trying to get your attention. You can also go fishing on the pier or you can just go for a simple walk and clear your mind and just enjoy the very peaceful breeze.
5. WILD WILLY'S ADVENTURE ZONE
This is located right across the street from the boardwalk. Now, they recently expanded Wild Willy's Adventure Zone. So, now there's even more fun for everyone to enjoy. Now, there's an arcade, there's miniature golf, laser tag, there's a 4D movie theater experience. If you're not afraid of heights, there's a treetop challenge and there's also go-karts and bumper cars. This is definitely a great place for birthday parties or just another day of fun.
6. ISLAND TIME
Would you rather just spend a day out on the water? We'll check out Island time. This is where you can rent out pontoons, jet skis, kayaks and go parasailing or even hop on a dolphin tour. If you get thirsty or need a bite to eat, check out Dock on The Islands and Island Time Pizza. You want to have a little fun, there is Fat Daddy's Arcade. And, if you, your group of friends or family are up for a mental challenge, check out Escape Zone 60.
